Beyond the Rhythms

INHOUD VAN DE CURSUS

This advanced course is offered as a 5-day retreat, all-included.

Rhythms and stillness have a profound relationship to human health, with implications for body, mind, and spirit. This advanced-level workshop is designed to offer participants a deeper understanding of the expression of rhythms in the human body and the relationships between rhythms, physiology, and states of consciousness. One important aspect of working with rhythms in the self-healing process is their alternation between rhythmic movement and still points or experiences of stillness during CranioSacral Therapy (CST) treatment.
The work with rhythms is twofold. First, understanding rhythms and rhythm centers makes it possible to treat these centers more precisely using CST. Second, palpating and learning to work with a polyrhythmic system - both within ourselves and within the client’s body - opens communication with the inner wisdom across a broader spectrum of rhythms and stillness. An essential dimension of rhythms is the experience of different levels of stillness. Rhythm and stillness cannot be separated; together, they create a space that supports self-healing.
With a focus on working within the Upledger paradigm, participants will become more proficient in treating rhythm centers by using different rhythms and by exploring the alternation between rhythm and stillness. This approach supports a deeper understanding and direct experience of the self-healing aspects of CST.
The course includes lectures, group discussions, body exercises, meditations, demonstrations, and hands-on practice for each concept presented.
